Deep Creek Baptist Church

The "Creek" as we like to call it, was started way back in 1778 when America was only 2 years old. At that time we were located a few miles from our current location just across the state line in South Carolina. We have been at this site since 1811. Believe it or not we actually have in our church minutes that church was called off for an entire month during the Civil War due to General Sherman and his troops coming down our highway.

The Creek, while she may be rural, is full of young families and business professionals. We  tend to be very progressive in worship styles but very conservative in Bible teaching and preaching, holding forth the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message. We affiliiate with the Anson Baptist Association, Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, and the Southern Baptist Convention.

A nursery is provided for each service. Sunday school starts at 10am. Worship is at 11am. Choir rehearsal is at 6pm Sunday nights. Our MidWeek refuel is at 6pm on Wednesdays with a meal followed by classes for kids, youth and adults with several opportunities of classes to pick from.

Our large outreach events include a Men's Wild Game Supper, Ladies Luncheon, VBS, Fall Festival, Easter EGGstravaganza and several musical programs.

So if you are searching for a church home, consider dropping by and visiting with us for one service and let us love on you and your family and we pray you will be back.
